The Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund (EDTF) has formed a Board of Directors comprising 11 persons drawn from the Ethiopian Diaspora, Civil Society and the Ethiopian Government. The Board of Directors will provide overall leadership and set the strategic direction, policy, oversight, and accountability of the Fund.

Aida Edemariam’s The Wife’s Tale, a biography of her grandmother who was born in northern Ethiopia more than 100 years ago, has won the £10,000 Royal Society of Literature Ondaatje Prize. The annual Prize is awarded for a distinguished work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry, evoking the spirit of a place.

Wonders and challenges of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s first year in office
Former Ethiopian President, H.E. Dr. Negasso Gidada, was laid to rest at St Peter and St Paul Catholic Cemetery in Addis Ababa on Sunday, 5th March, with thousands in attendance. Dr. Negasso died on Saturday, 27th April at the age of 75, while receiving medical treatment in Germany.
