A free display of around twenty stunning Ethiopian objects, will open at the V&A Museum on 5 April 2018. "Maqdala 1868" commemorates the 150th anniversary of the siege and battle at Maqdala, the culmination of the British Expedition to Abyssinia.

V&A to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the events at Maqdala with display of important Ethiopian objects
The British Library has launched a new display, “African Scribes: Manuscript Culture of Ethiopia". The display explores the culture of a manuscript tradition in Ethiopia which extends back to the early centuries of the Christian era and highlights the intellectual and artistic achievements of Ethiopian scribes, preservers and guardians of the Ethiopian Tewahedo Orthodox Church’s literary output.
